Sorry for reviving the old post, but my German is very poor.

Which is actually what brings me back. Firstly, I hope you are all well and your MINIs are running smoothly. I'm no closer to getting back to the Ring, but to help me keep the passion I have just launched a Nurburgring blog.

Going through my old photos I wanted to find out what the text on the boom gates at the TF entry says. Here is the text:

"wünschen viel Spaß bei der nächsten Runde!"

Babelfish returns something like "wishing you fun on your next lap"???

Thanks Berthil, I'll check those clips after work today.

Will be sure to put some AF footage on the site. It's such a classic corner for errors. It was the one corner I was most aware of prior to visiting, after seeing similar clips, and as such can proudly say I didn't stuff it up once.

well, the errors are mostly located at the end of Fuchsröhre (missing the 1st breaking point after compression)... some said...

Berthil, I only got around to watching that clip now. That is awesome!

Do you know the driver, and what mods he has done to his MINI?

I know the driver and talked to him at the Ring.

He has all the performance mods to get him to almost 260 bhp.

That's cilinder head, high compressor pressure, watercooled intercooler etc. He has also big brakes, light rims with semi-slicks.

I believe his pre-facelift Mini runs 7000 rpm in 6th gear, thats 260 km/h on the GPS. That's why 'Powerminis' like the pre-facelift gearbox
